Words by Diane

A collection of verse and other writings by Diane Sutton

This website offers a selection of my verse and stories from the last two decades or so. There are also sundry articles which I've styled musings.

My words dare to offer hope and true freedom to a world that desperately needs both. Read to be encouraged, to be challenged, to laugh or weep over our humanness.

Several poems and stories have been published in poetry magazines. Other works are published here for the first time.

The words are my own; the spirit in them is (as far as I can judge) that of the God of the Bible.

each straight as his neighbour
and secure in the huddle's lee

up a windwrung hill
one battered pine
has turned from the prevailing breeze,
and sees things
they do not
